U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers from Washington, D.C., have arrested Rodney Soloman, an illegal Haitian national, in Winchester on February 7. Soloman faces charges of assaulting a Virginia resident and threatening them with a firearm. He has previously been convicted of drug-related crimes.

Russ Hott, Field Office Director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in Washington, D.C., stated: "Rodney Soloman has already been convicted of drug crimes in Virginia, and now he stands accused of assaulting and threatening a local resident with a firearm." He added that Soloman's actions violate his legal right to remain in the United States. Hott emphasized ICE's commitment to public safety by targeting illegal offenders within the Washington, D.C., and Virginia areas.

Solomon initially entered the United States legally on May 18, 1992. However, he later violated the terms of his admission. An immigration judge ordered his removal from the U.S. on August 11, 2004.

On December 13, 2004, Solomon was convicted by the Warren County Circuit Court in Front Royal, Virginia for felony manufacture, sale, possession of cocaine. His sentence included five years in prison; however, four years and four months were suspended.

In another incident on November 14, 2018, Solomon was found guilty by the Winchester County General District Court for driving while intoxicated. Although sentenced to four months in prison at that time as well all four months were suspended.

Most recently on December 24th last year Solomon was apprehended again this time charged with pointing/brandishing firearms alongside committing assault offenses against another individual according to reports filed by officers affiliated under jurisdictional authority vested within operational precincts led administratively through departmentally sanctioned channels aligning themselves collaboratively together under oversight structures operating jointly alongside counterparts working cooperatively together inside institutional frameworks coordinated seamlessly across varying levels encompassing multi-agency platforms functioning synergistically towards common objectives aimed squarely toward achieving desired outcomes envisioned strategically ahead culminating ultimately towards
