Rep. Veronica Escobar, the U.S. Congress member representing Texas' 16th district since 2019, shares her views and well-wishes on social media. A Democrat, Escobar first joined Congress after replacing Beto O'Rourke and has been active in voicing her opinions on immigration policies and political violence, among other issues.

In a post dated April 11, 2025, Rep. Escobar addressed the topic of detaining children at the U.S. border. She, alongside Representatives Pramila Jayapal, Jamie Raskin, and Bennie Thompson, urged the Trump administration to cease this practice. Escobar commented on the issue, stating "Detaining children causes lasting harm and does nothing to deter migration."

On April 12, 2025, Rep. Escobar shared holiday wishes with her followers as Jewish communities began celebrating Passover. Her post extended greetings by stating "Chag Pesach Sameach to all those beginning their Passover celebrations tonight. Wishing you and your family a meaningful holiday!"

Two days later, on April 14, 2025, Escobar expressed relief and concern regarding recent political violence, referencing an incident involving Governor Josh Shapiro. Escobar tweeted her gratitude for the governor and his family's safety, noting that "It’s devastating that our country is still grappling with destructive, corrosive and dangerous political violence."

Rep. Veronica Escobar continues to serve her constituents from the 16th district of Texas. Born in El Paso in 1969, she remains actively involved in addressing both local and national issues.
