A man from Honduras, previously deported, was arrested in Florida following a manhunt led by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Tampa. Yobany Gustavo Izaguierre Barahona, 24, faces charges of two counts of capital sexual battery involving a minor under 12 years old. Sheriff Chris Nocco confirmed that the victim is safe and receiving support.

The incident occurred on February 20, 2025, when Barahona allegedly assaulted the minor at home. After being discovered by another person, he fled the scene. Authorities from ICE Homeland Security Investigations Tampa and Border Patrol joined forces with the Pasco Sheriff's Office to locate him on February 21.

Barahona had been previously encountered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Rio Grande, Texas, on June 25, 2021. He was deported to Honduras by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in Houston on August 4, 2021. It remains unclear when he reentered the United States illegally.

ICE HSI Tampa has issued a Form I-247 Immigration Detainer Notice of Action with the Pasco Sheriff's Office as investigations continue. No further information is available at this time.

Authorities have not reported any additional victims but urge anyone who believes they may be affected to contact the PSO Crime Tips Line or report online at PascoSheriff.com/tips. Alternatively, tips can be submitted via the ICE Tip Line or through the CyberTipline at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's website.
