U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), arrested Isidro Jimenez, a 51-year-old Mexican national, in Coachella, California, on February 24. This arrest was part of a targeted enforcement action.

Jimenez entered the United States at an unknown location and date without admission by an immigration official. He has a history of criminal convictions, including possession of a controlled substance for sale. On August 18, 1994, he was convicted by the Superior Court of California, County of Riverside. Following this conviction, the now-defunct Immigration and Naturalization Service removed him to Mexico after an immigration judge ordered his removal on March 28, 1995. Jimenez later re-entered the U.S. illegally at another unknown location and date.

Further legal issues arose when Jimenez was again convicted by the Superior Court of California, County of Riverside, for inflicting corporal injury to a spouse on June 4, 1998. Additional convictions include driving under the influence on September 11, 2007, and assault with a deadly weapon on February 16, 2023.

Jimenez is currently in custody awaiting removal proceedings.
