On March 21, 2025, Rep. Escobar expressed her opposition to using Guantanamo Bay to detain migrants. She stated that “It is so expensive that it flies in the face of everything Trump and Musk claim they’re trying to do, which is save taxpayer money.” She further described this approach as unethical, unsafe, and unsustainable.

Following a tragic shooting incident on March 22, 2025, Rep. Escobar tweeted about the impact of gun violence on communities. She emphasized solidarity with those affected by the event in Las Cruces by stating “Another horrific shooting and yet another community reeling from the devastation of gun violence.” She extended her support to victims and families by affirming that El Paso stands with New Mexicans during this difficult time.

In a tweet dated March 24, 2025, Rep. Escobar addressed concerns over legal violations related to certain individuals' actions in an unspecified chat group. She remarked on their dangerous incompetence and recklessness while calling for accountability: “Perhaps only second in line to the dangerous incompetence and recklessness of the people on that chat.”
