In another tweet from the same day, she highlighted the importance of military installations managed by the Department of Defense. Escobar emphasized their role in housing service members and protecting critical defense assets. She mentioned collaborating with colleagues such as Representatives Jason Crow and John Garamendi on a communication to the President, saying "The @DeptofDefense’s military installations are home to thousands of our service members, they protect our critical defense assets, and allow our military to project power around the globe."

On March 20, 2025, Escobar expressed concern over administrative actions involving deportations without judicial oversight. She criticized these practices as authoritarianism occurring within U.S. borders: "This administration is disappearing people to other countries without a shred of evidence or any ruling from a judge."
