Rep. Veronica Escobar, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 16th district, recently shared her thoughts on several issues through social media posts. Her tweets touched upon legislative matters and personal reflections on a colleague's passing.

On March 12, 2025, Rep. Escobar tweeted about a four-week Continuing Resolution (CR) designed to maintain government operations while allowing Congress time to reach a bipartisan funding agreement. She stated, "We have a four-week CR that keeps our government open and allows Congress to reach a BIPARTISAN funding agreement. It’s ready to go and House Democrats will vote for it." She expressed opposition to what she described as a "Republican partisan blank check" that would transfer Congressional authority to individuals like Elon Musk and Donald Trump.

The following day, March 13, 2025, Escobar addressed Senate Democrats in another tweet regarding potential actions by Donald Trump and Elon Musk if the CR were enacted into law. She warned that voting in favor would grant them significant authority: "To @SenateDems: Donald Trump is broadcasting what he and Musk plan to do if the CR becomes law."

Later on March 13, Rep. Escobar expressed her condolences over the death of fellow Representative Raúl Grijalva. In her message, she noted his leadership qualities and offered sympathy to his family and constituents: "I’m deeply saddened to hear of Rep. Grijalva’s passing."
