Rep. Veronica Escobar, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 16th district, recently shared a series of tweets regarding her guest for an upcoming Joint Address to Congress.

On March 3, 2025, Rep. Escobar announced her invitation to Cesar Cordero as her guest for the event. She praised his career and dedication, stating that it exemplifies what it means to be a public servant. "It is my pleasure to invite Cesar Cordero as my guest to tomorrow’s Joint Address to Congress."

In another tweet on the same day, Rep. Escobar highlighted Mr. Cordero's current role as President of the El Paso National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA). She noted his advocacy for fellow air traffic controllers and efforts to improve working conditions and safety standards: "He currently serves as the President of the El Paso National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA), where he advocates for his fellow air traffic controllers and works to improve working conditions and safety standards."

Further emphasizing Mr. Cordero's credentials, Rep. Escobar pointed out his extensive experience in aviation safety with 15 years as a Federal Air Traffic Controller: "With 15 years of experience as a Federal Air Traffic Controller, he has built a distinguished career in aviation safety."
