ICE arrests suspected Tren de Aragua member with firearm in Denver

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials have apprehended Ender Jose Roa Contreras, a 29-year-old Venezuelan national, in Denver. The arrest took place on February 19, 2025. Roa is identified as a member of the Tren de Aragua, a transnational criminal organization.

Roa initially entered the United States through the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry in El Paso, Texas, on August 11, 2023. At that time, he was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and received a notice to appear.

In an incident occurring during a traffic stop in Denver on June 11, 2024, Roa was found illegally possessing a firearm. The authorities seized the weapon and issued him a citation.
