Her posts critique recent Republican budget proposals and emphasize her support for specific legislative measures.

On February 11, 2025, Rep. Escobar tweeted about her support for the Taxpayer Data Protection Act. She stated: "I'm a proud supporter of the Taxpayer Data Protection Act because I believe an unaccountable billionaire shouldn't have access to YOUR sensitive information that'll make him and his businesses richer." She noted that while House Democrats attempted to bring this bill to a vote, it was blocked by Republicans.

The following day, on February 12, 2025, she criticized Republican budget plans along with DOGE's financial strategies: "Republicans & DOGE just released their budget plans to ensure the corporations and the ultra-wealthy receive a $2 trillion tax cut at YOUR expense." She highlighted concerns over reductions in federal funding affecting healthcare, education, and food security.

On February 13, 2025, Rep. Escobar further commented on the Republican budget plan by stating: "The Republican budget plan is a betrayal to the American people." According to her tweet, these plans involve $5 trillion in tax cuts benefiting billionaires at the cost of essential services like healthcare and programs such as SNAP.
