Rep. Veronica Escobar, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 16th district, has recently shared her thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets. These tweets touch upon topics ranging from cross-border shootings to federal employee rights under the current administration.

On January 31, 2025, Rep. Escobar addressed the issue of cross-border shootings in her region. She stated, "We’ve seen a rise in cross-border shootings, including in our region." She mentioned having spoken with the acting chief of Border Patrol in El Paso and expressed relief that there were no injuries during the latest incident. Rep. Escobar emphasized ongoing monitoring of the situation.

In a tweet dated February 3, 2025, she commented on what she perceives as manufactured crises by stating, "When you solve your own manufactured crisis, I guess you can call that a win?" This remark appears to critique how certain situations are being handled or portrayed.

Later on February 3, 2025, Rep. Escobar addressed federal employees who received President Trump's "Fork In The Road" memo. She advised them to be aware of their rights and cautioned against being coerced into resigning. Her tweet read: "If you are one of the federal employees who received President Trump's 'Fork In The Road' memo, you should know your rights." She further warned against trusting someone who runs "the government like the mafia."
