There were 3,177 students enrolled in San Elizario ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.7% of them were boys, and 48.3% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 99.2% of the San Elizario ISD total enrollment.

San Elizario ISD roughly covers schools within El Paso County with its main office in San Elizario.

Among the six schools in San Elizario ISD, San Elizario High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,029 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
