Attorney General Ken Paxton (R-TX) recently attacked his challenger in the election, Rochelle Garza (D), for supporting President Joe Biden's alleged open-border policies.
"Dangerous human smugglers are bringing as many illegals across our borders as they can because of Biden's open-border policies," Paxton said in a Twitter post published on Tuesday. "These criminals are exactly the same type of individuals that my opponent, Rochelle Garza, represented. Disqualifying."
Agents at the U.S. Border Patrol station in McAllen, Texas, received an anonymous tip in late October stating that suspected migrants were entering a vehicle in Los Ebanos, according to Fox News. An agent found the vehicle and stopped the driver – an American citizen. Five passengers in the vehicle were attempting to enter the U.S illegally from Central America. All six people were arrested and the vehicle was seized.
A camera at the same station captured people getting into an SUV near Hidalgo later that day, Fox News reported. Four migrants from El Salvador, Honduras, and Mexico were arrested, but the driver was not found.
