City of Socorro issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.
In order to slow and stop the spread of COVID-19 the county's new health order (which includes Socorro and all other cities in the county) has taken affect at 12:01 AM on October 16, 2020 can be seen at:

As a reminder:
Please make sure to wear your face coverings and practice social distancing when out of your home.
Wash your hands regularly and use hand sanitizer.
All non essential business must be occupied no greater than 50%.
Restaurants must close their dining room & patios at 9 PM but can still operate with to go and delivery orders. Bars are to remain closed.
Socorro Parks will remain closed.
Only people actually living at a residence may be at the residence. This restriction also applies to the front yard and back yard.No house parties or gatherings of any kind are allowed.
Gyms remain open but must practice social distancing, disinfectant procedures, & use of face coverings.
