The UTEP women’s golf team will begin play at the 2026 Conference USA Women’s Golf Championship in Frisco, Texas, starting April 20. The event will be held at Stonebriar Country Club and run through April 22.
The championship opens with the first round on Monday morning, followed by a second round on Tuesday. Match play, including both semifinals and the final, is scheduled for Wednesday. UTEP will face teams from Delaware, FIU, Jax State, Kennesaw State, Middle Tennessee, Missouri State, NM State, Sam Houston, and WKU during the competition.
Last season at the Conference USA Championship, UTEP finished tied for seventh place with a score of 905 (+41). The team last won the Conference USA title in 2011.
In their most recent outing before this championship event, UTEP placed eleventh out of twenty-one teams at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic by carding an overall score of 886 (+22) at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. The Miners improved their standing in the final round after shooting a team score of 291. A sophomore led UTEP for the second time this season by climbing seventeen spots on the last day to finish tied for nineteenth place with a total score of two-over-par (218).
The upcoming championship represents another opportunity for UTEP to build on its performance from earlier tournaments and aim for its first conference title since 2011.
