In a subsequent tweet, Escobar underlined the importance of legal pathways for immigrants, noting that, "Americans recognize that it is in our country’s best interests to restore legal pathways for immigrants and keep families together." Later that day, Escobar commented on a troubling incident involving law enforcement practices. She tweeted, "Masked, plainclothes officers grabbed a woman on the street, detained and sent her to a facility across the country from her lawyer and community." Escobar raised concerns about potential misuse of authority, asserting that unless a criminal record is revealed, the woman's detention was related to dissenting opinions against presidential views.
