There were 384 students enrolled in El Paso Academy in the 2022-23 school year, 41.2% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 55.2% of them were boys, and 44.8% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 94.3% of the El Paso Academy total enrollment.

El Paso Academy roughly covers schools within El Paso County with its main office in El Paso.

Among the two schools in El Paso Academy, El Paso Academy recorded the highest enrollment of 237 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
