Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 99.3% of Fabens ISD schools' student body in 2021-22 school year

There were 1,978 Hispanic students enrolled in Fabens ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 2.8% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Fabens ISD schools welcomed 1,991 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 99.3% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

Fabens ISD roughly covers schools within El Paso County and has a main office in Fabens.

Among the four schools in Fabens ISD schools, Fabens High School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 634 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
