There were 798 students enrolled in Anthony ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 53.1% of them were boys, and 46.9% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 96% of the Anthony ISD total enrollment.

Anthony ISD roughly covers schools within El Paso County with its main office in Anthony.

Among the three schools in Anthony ISD, Anthony Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 365 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
