El Paso Standard

About 15.4 percent of the 4,713 degrees and certificates handed out by The University of Texas at El Paso in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Paso conferred 533 bachelor's degrees and 187 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 322 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 284 bachelor's degrees in "other" multi-/interdisciplinary studies and 255 bachelor's degrees in criminal justice/safety studies.

The university enrolled 25,151 students for 2017-18, including 21,464 in undergraduate programs and 3,687 in graduate programs.
