Southwest University at El Paso enrolls 1,481 undergrads

At Southwest University at El Paso, 54 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private for-profit institution in El Paso enrolled 1,481 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. No undergraduates were transferred from another college or university.

96 percent of undergraduates are residents of Texas, and 4 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (89 percent) and white (6 percent).
