U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), has arrested a Salvadoran national, Emilio Neftaly Pineda, in Peabody, Massachusetts. Pineda has previous convictions for domestic assault and battery, violating a restraining order, and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Pineda also faces two arrest warrants in Massachusetts related to leaving the scene of an accident and compulsory insurance violations after failing to appear for court dates.
“Emilio Pineda has several convictions in the state of Massachusetts and represents a clear threat to the residents of our community,” said Patricia H. Hyde, acting Field Office Director for ICE ERO Boston. “Additionally, Pineda has been previously removed from the U.S. twice. He has shown a blatant disregard for our immigration laws and our state laws.”
The East Boston District arraigned Pineda on November 6, 2000, for assault and battery on a household member. The Everett District Court found him guilty on February 3, 2003, for violating a restraining order issued earlier on December 5, 2002.
In Quincy District Court on August 1, 2005, he was arraigned for operating under the influence of alcohol; however, there was no finding by January 23, 2006. Further legal issues arose when Malden District Court arraigned him on September 30, 2015, for leaving an accident scene with property damage but failed to appear by March 2, resulting in a default warrant.
Between November 2015 and July 2016 ICE Boston arrested and removed Pineda twice from the United States: first on February 1 and again on July 20 that year.
On December 16 of that same year at Malden District Court yet another charge surfaced regarding compulsory insurance violations leading once more towards non-appearance-related warrants being issued against him then too!
Pineda illegally re-entered America without inspection or parole from immigration officials at unknown times/locations following these events until finally apprehended again June this year whereupon served reinstatement deportation notice pending removal proceedings completion while remaining held within agency custody meantime…
