U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has taken Pierre Maurice Al-Asmar into custody in Lakeville, Massachusetts, on January 25, 2024. Al-Asmar, a Lebanese national present in the country illegally, faces charges of assault and battery, as well as indecent assault and battery on a person aged 14 or older.

Patricia H. Hyde, Acting Field Office Director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in Boston, stated, “Pierre Maurice Al-Asmar has not only shown a blatant disregard for U.S. immigration laws, but he has been charged with horrifically victimizing a Massachusetts resident. He represents a significant threat to the people of New England that ICE will not tolerate. We remain dedicated to our mission of prioritizing public safety by arresting and removing criminal aliens.”

Al-Asmar initially entered the United States lawfully, but later breached the conditions of his entry. He was arraigned at Lakeville District Court on February 5, 2024, for the charges against him. Following the arrest, ICE issued Al-Asmar a notice to appear before a Justice Department immigration judge.

The public is encouraged to report any crimes and suspicious activities via the hotline at 866-DHS-2-ICE (866-347-2423) or through the online tip form.
