Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans Home ranked No. 2 in El Paso County nursing home size in Q1

During the first quarter of 2026, Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans Home ranked as the second largest nursing home in El Paso County, data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) show.

The facility offered 160 beds, 42 above the county average for nursing homes in the same period, and provided care for an average of 155.1 residents per day during the quarter.

The home received an overall rating of 2 out of 5 from CMS, which falls below the statewide nursing home average of 2.7 in Texas.

Mountain View Health and Rehabilitation led the county as the largest facility with 187 beds, while Grace Pointe Wellness Center was third with 154 beds available.

Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans Home reported no fines or penalties in the first quarter of 2026.

But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
